As Max Verstappen claimed his 15th victory of the season and the 2022 Driver’s Championship, some of the world’s biggest sporting superstars have flocked to Abu Dhabi to catch the final race of the Formula 1 season.
After a rip-roaring year of motorsport action, history was made in the United Arab Emirates with the Dutch driver claiming his second world title, while Sebastien Vettel was seen doing donuts on the track before he hangs up his helmet after a stellar career behind the wheel.
Plenty of big names were in attendance, including Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, who seems to be enjoying some time off during the World Cup winter break.

While City’s plans for the next few months are still unclear, it has been rumoured that Guardiola’s side could be considering a winter break in Abu Dhabi during the World Cup.
The Spaniard had previously hinted that his side ‘could make the trip back to where their owner’s are based’ in order to prepare for their final push to snatch the Premier League title away from Arsenal.

Elsewhere other sports superstars lined the circuit including the world’s once fastest man, Usain Bolt.
Swapping the athletics track for the race loop, the eight-time Olympic champion was spotted laughing with former Manchester United defender, Patrice Evra.
And while sports stars are never lacking at the F1, the pair seemed in jovial spirits as they took photos with fans and lapped up the atmosphere at the event.
Evra, who played 379 matches for Man United was also spotted in a photo with former Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, who claimed 11 championships during his racing career.

Meanwhile there was also a well-earned break away from the cricket oval for some of England’s triumphant T20 stars.
Ben Stokes, who guided England to their emphatic T20 world cup final win over Pakistan a little over a week ago, was spotted walking down the paddock with his teammates.
The England captain posed in the middle of the track with Joe Root, Jimmy Anderson and Liam Livingston next to him.
Surrey batter Ollie Pope was also spotted at the race after it was announced last week that he and wicket keeper Ben Foakes would fly out to the United Arab Emirates, where the England side will prepare for their upcoming test tour of Pakistan.
